Its Spring!

Something from my garden.

Today is Spring Day. The 1st of September. I remember growing up, we did not wear uniform to school on Spring Day, but instead we wore brightly coloured clothing. And it was quite the occasion - we'd have picnics, etc. At university Spring Day was a holiday, no classes. How awesome :) The start of spring was a celebration. But, today is different.. I'm wearing layers of clothing, and haven't even seen a glimpse of the sun yet. Its just odd...

Innocence

Ain't this the sweetest little guy? I love deer.

When we toured through Europe a while back, we visited the Skane Zoo in Hoor, Sweden. The special thing about this zoo, is that they only have Scandinavian animals. These are fallow deer. The whole herd was asleep, only this little guy's head was bobbing around :)

Picnic beach

A quiet secluded beach on Phi Phi island, Thailand. We were fortunate enough to have a picnic here. Awesome memories...

Old memories anew

I grew up in a town close to this beach, and visited it as a child. It was really great to take my children there a while back while we were visiting South Africa again.
